SERIOUSLY COOL - SEMAKAU ISLAND: ISLAND OF SINGAPORE rubbish BECOME WORLD EXAMPLES (10 PHOTO)
In Malaysia, the problem is getting the chronic accumulation of debris resulting public anger . In Mumbai there is a landfill that if the rain only semerbaklah smell of garbage sitting nearby residents . TV3 went complete with Karam Singh Walia report but so far the problem has not been completed.
Today let 's look at how Singapore manage their solid waste . Pulau Semakau is garbage island that is reclaimed using garbage waste from the island itself. Pulau Semakau was originally a fishing village and a fisherman 's paradise . It opened in 1999 as the only solid waste disposal areas of the country. Dust from the burned waste from four central incinerator taken to Pulau Semakau Singapore at night to be used as fill . If seen from the air there are water pools waiting to be filled by the dust of this garbage . No need to import to reclaim land from Johor !
Although it is only of 3.5 square kilometers, the island is expected to accommodate garbage Semakau Singapore, at least until 2045 . Singapore's National Environment Agency believes the waste management and recycling awareness campaign this island can be used any longer .
Most interesting about Pulau Semakau is that it is a green island . Singaporeans can visit this pualu to play and enjoy the beauty of nature. Yes this sounds crazy but Semakau island is also a GREEN LUNG clean without any pollution. You can picnic undisturbed odor. Pulau Semakau is included in the list of nine most stunning eco-friendly projects in the world. Respect !
This makes me think . If Singapore can do it why can not we ? Is not Malaysia Boleh ?credited to Obefiend Weiland from http://blogserius.blogspot.com/
